I wrote this song at midnight on the 4th of October, 2008. It tells the tale of the final apocalyptic battle between the humans race and the creatures/monsters, call 'em whatever you will.
The twist is....... the humans lose.

The Triumph Of Armageddon’s Horde

As darkness approaches in a crimson sky
Silence shattered by grunts of an enemy impatient
Last remnants of the armies of mankind
Stare ahead at the end with hope dead eyes

Mace and flail bristle with hooks and spikes
Thirsting for blood held in misshapen claws
Gore smudged chain links adorned with bones
Speak tales of previous kingdoms dethroned

Stench of fear rides high on bitter winds
No white riders shall bring deliverance this day
Swords and spears gripped with white knuckles
Hearts thudding with dread deafen the wings of fate

Rush with cries towards inevitable doom
The ground trembles as the hosts collide
Trodden under rampaging feet the fallen lay
Thus begins the slaughter that ends of our days

Death will not cease the suffering of the damned
Foul beasts, crooked teeth, descend, rend flesh
Screams for mercy pierce not the battle din
Sodden earth bereaves the loss of her offspring

Fell riders dark atop nightmarish beasts
Dozens laid to waste with one fell swoop
Brazen laughter engulfs sons of the west
Courage nor zeal shall avail them not

Behold the king as he stands alone
Strewn at his feet the last of his kin
A last charge he makes with his sword held high
The mocking horde awaits he who comes to die
